Interiors

Offering a bespoke interior design consultancy including painting and decorating, carpentry, roofing and interior styling.

Amy Atkins has successfully carried out interior design and project management commissions for central London offices to cafe’s and residential homes, including designing custom made furniture, Amy also offers interior styling as a service and has worked for commercial companies such as Next, Glastonbury and Argos.

Through Amy’s love of the environment, she has become conscious about what she consumes and advises others on using. She loves to source second hand homewares rather than buying cheap mass produced items and advocates natural, breathable paints – working a lot with Farrow and Ball and Bauwerk.

After a fast paced career in London, Amy moved to St Leonard’s on Sea to establish a better work to life balance. Being a big advocate of healthy homes and how that impacts every day lifestyles, Amy strives to bring that into her work ethic with a mindful and ethical approach. She’s had many years experience consulting as an interior designer/stylist, painter and decorator and has a great carpenter and roofer on her team too. She cares a lot about her work and is proud to have a meticulous eye and finish.

Through Amy’s career in fashion, frequenting a multitude of location houses, she became fascinated with design and the philosophy of ‘home.’ Living in London, space came with a price, so working out how to create multifunctional area’s and problem solving how best to dress a room, a long with an ever expanding database of places to source items from became second nature and a fast growing pursuit.

Being a lover of nature, Amy creates with the elements, such as characteristic wood, organic materials and raw cement. She has experimented with making her own interior paints out of clay, wheat and natural dyes and has also made organic, vegan and environmentally friendly candles, bath salts and concrete plant pots on commission. Amy is working on her own line of interior homewares from ceramics to woodwork and soft furnishings – to keep up to date with this venture, please follow her instagram – amyatkinsdesigns.

Reviews

Interior design of a central London office including a board room, shower room, changing room, break out areas and furniture design.

Amy was a thoughtful interior design consultancy that hit the brief better than I knew myself. Sourcing unique pieces efficiently and reliably. She seamlessly blended old with new creating a thought provoking space that was peaceful and inspirational.

Interior design and painter decorator for Cake Room cafe, Hastings

Collaboration with Amy on setting up my coffee shop was a joy. She worked hard, to brief and with an open mind and we inspired each other over the months that the project took. She was hands on, sourced items quickly and dealt with builders directly and appropriately when deadlines needed to be met. Her eye for detail was wonderful. She was a pleasure to work with and always had a smile and ‘can do’ attitude. I fully recommend her for working on interior projects.

Lauren

Living Room colour consultant and painter/decorator.

My living room needed some creative enrichment so I booked in with Amy to give this space a new look and it exceeded my expectations. Having seen Amy’s style with her own property, I had a lot of trust in her interior design, skills and professionalism. With a busy schedule I had to leave for work and felt completely comfortable leaving Amy to transform the space. I was nervous with one of my darker colour selections but Amy knew what would work and I’m so pleased that she could advise on this, gently encouraging to go with it, which led to a result that I love! Thank you Amy and I look forward to working with you on my next property!
