Amy Atkins is a London based creative.
Born in Leicester. At the age of nine, she stumbled upon her mothers make up bag, fell in love with the mediums and their potential for endless creativity, so set her dreams on becoming a top session artist. Since, she has moved to London and made that a reality by working as a session make up artist and manicurist, professionally, for the past six years.
As a perfectionist, she prides herself on effortlessly creating flawless, timeless looks yet incorporating a quirky element of cool for the more adventurous briefs. She has had the pleasure of working with clients such as Vogue, Nicole Scherzinger and Adidas.
Along Amy’s journey, she has also fallen into kids hair and make up. She thoroughly enjoys working with children as she finds their fresh, bold yet innocent statements inspiring. She has worked on a vast array of cover editorials including Family Traveller, Little London and City Kids as well as commercial clients including Marks & Spencer, Angel & Rockett and Argos.
Amy has always been a keen photographer, attending analogue courses and film development workshops in her spare time when growing up. Inevitably she proceeded to study it at college and landed a part time job at the same time, working for Colin Garratt, a steam train photographer and author, where she learnt how to edit. She took this skill with her when she moved to London and specialised in private, portrait commissions. Amy still does private photography commissions, along with her own documentary projects of people and landscapes that she finds interesting.
